The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts presents the first ever iPad application on VIII–XX century Italian paintings, one of the Museum’s most important collections with over 550 works of art chronologically covering the entire period of development of one of the leading European schools of art.

The application contains the entire catalogue of Italian paintings in the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts’ collection, which can be viewed by chronological period, individual painter, theme or genre. There is also a search function that allows you to look for paintings by name and artist. Each picture is accompanied by an in-depth description, and images can be enlarged for more detailed viewing.

The application also lets you learn about the history of the Museum’s Italian collection and provides descriptions of the development of the Italian schools of painting during each time period.
