The Rubik's cube (also known as magic cube) is a 6-color puzzle (one for each face) and is composed of three different types of pieces, in total there are 20 "mobile" pieces (12 edges and 8 vertices) in the Rubik's cube, all of them being different from one another (different faces). If we turn a face, we see that the centers do not change places, while the edges go to positions where there were edges and the vertices to positions where there were vertices. That is, each piece is of a type, and can not vary (an edge will always be an edge).
