FVG castles (Castelli FVG) is the official App of the Consortium for the protection of the historical castles of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region and the only one that groups all the castles of this area. It is available in the App Store.
The Friuli Venezia Giulia is the only Italian region where three European ethnic strains (Latin, Germanic and Slavic) co-exist.
Since Roman times, this geographic position was always strategic, which is why many defensive structures were built here.
Tall castles standing on the top of steep hills or on cliffs overlooking the sea, others inserted in the midst of urban centers or surrounded by spring waters or century old parks, all very different from each other in terms of style, but all worth being visited.
You can find the closest castle to you with the App, which will highlight it on the map to allow you to organize your route thanks to useful information on tours, historical news, photographic galleries and emotional clips.
