L' App SAN PIO IN THE WORLD has been created thanks to the experience of lay people very close to Saint Pio of Pietrelcina, in order to communicate to the pilgrim everything that is inherent to the territory of San Giovanni Rotondo and the angelic life of the Saint, the history of the sanctuary and all that is located near the sanctuary and especially to give useful information about what be visited (the country that welcomed St. Pius and almost all neighboring countries with their sanctuaries, churches, archaeological sites and wonderful works of art that are preserved).
It is a useful tool for all of those pilgrims who like to deepen the history of some countries of the Gargano.
We believe that this app is very important, so that the pilgrim will not forget the places of St. Pio of Pietrelcina that he has just visited, the whole Gargano, so when he goes home, he will know that it is always with him in order to inform him of everything that happens in the Sanctuary and elsewhere.
The worshipper will be able to read, view images or listen to the meditations of St. Pio including what was written about him, finally, they will be helped to pray (there are many prayers, novenas, saint rosaries included in the app that will accompany them every day when they return to their country of origin).
With this App, in particular, we provide the following services:
- Testimonies of priests and lay people who were close to the Stigmatized Brother;
- How to get to all the places in the sanctuary and out of the sanctuary;
- What to find and how to get to the neighboring countries;
- News and videos on the Sanctuary, about any events, holy Masses schedules, opening and closing places of worship;
- Leave prayer requests by pressing a special button that will be transferred onto our mailbox.
You can do all this during the break in the office, waiting for the bus, on the train, or visiting a relative in hospital when the department is currently closed for the visit of the doctors.
It also contains advice to make best use of the time available to visit all the places where he lived and carried out his priestly ministry, where he embraced his Beloved on 23 September 1968 and where he was buried.
We are also convinced that this App is easily accessible and thus it will allow everyone to enjoy the multimedia content (audio, pictures, video, etc.).
