GPSBridge connects on a TCP/UDP server to retrieve NMEA sentences from an
external GPS so you can use other applications like Google Maps and Navionics
with your external GPS.

Tested with GPSGate client (for NMEA TCP server services), Google Maps and
Navionics.

GPSBridge requires that you enable mock locations found in
settings/applications/development.

An anchor watch alert is also provided. More to come like distance to
waypoint, cross-track error, etc !

If you receive this error:

java.lang.SecurityException: Requires ACCESS_MOCK_LOCATION secure setting

You need to change the MOCK location settings found in:
settings/applications/development.

Quick how-to:

Your GPS must be connected on a computer or a serial(rs232) to wifi device
(nmea 0183 = serial)

The tablet or phone must be on the same wifi network than the computer/device.

If using a computer, you need to use a software like gpsgate client to share
the GPS information

across the wifi network. (GPSGate is now free of charge)

If using a device, GPSBridge should connect right on and get the NMEA
sentences.

The device/gpsgate address and port must be configured in GPSBridge. It not an
easy setup for a non geek i agree :)
