The Archimap application is a bilingual multimedia guide to the architecture of Warsaw. It was created on the basis of a respected and popular series of printed maps published by the Warsaw Rising Museum.

The Archimap presents seven of the most interesting – and hitherto often unaddressed – topics connected to the architecture of 20th century Warsaw, each of which offers a thematic proposal for sightseeing in Poland’s capital. Thanks to the application, users can plan their own personalised route (for sightseeing trips, excursions and walks) and not only read up on the architecture, architects and history of over four hundred buildings, but also check their accessibility. The app’s geolocation functionality also allows users to easily find those places which are usually hard to find as well as providing an effortless way to freely move around Warsaw’s urban fabric. Rich illustrative material helps users identify buildings and places marked on the map. The authors of the Archimap are eminent experts and critics on the architecture of Warsaw, as well as people who popularise knowledge about the capital: Sylwia Chutnik, Beata Chomątowska, SARP arch. Maria Sołtys, SARP arch. Marek Kuciński, Grzegorz Piątek, Jarosław Trybuś and Paweł Giergoń.

In Archimap you will find texts written by:

Never-built Warsaw 1944, Warsaw’s architecture of the interwar period 1918-1939, Warsaw’s Socialist Realism 1949-1956 - Grzegorz Piątek, Jarosław Trybuś
Warsaw’s Architectural Heritage 1945 – 1989 - SARP arch. Maria Sołtys, SARP arch. Marek Kuciński
Jewish Heritage. Warsaw, Falenica, Otwock - Beata Chomątowska
Ancymapa. Warsaw for children - Sylwia Chutnik
Warsaw mosaics - Paweł Giergoń
