Security Permissions
READ CONTACT DATA
WRITE CONTACT DATA
These permissions are needed to display the contact list and add new contacts.
ADD OR MODIFY CALENDAR EVENTS
The app would post calendar events at your request only.
The appointment entry in the app establishes dates in note, which is used for
sort and filter to obtain appointments notes for a period. In addition, by
clicking the Reminder Alert checkbox, a reminder event would be posted to the
Google calendar.
READ CALENDAR EVENTS
Although TalkNotes does not read the calendar information, a fatal error would
ensue when posting to Android calendar, if this permission is not obtained.
Presumably, the internal API needs to read the calendar before posting to it.
PHONE CALLS
READ PHONE STATE AND IDENTITY
INTERCEPT OUTGOING CALLS
AUTOMATICALLY START AT BOOT
TalkNotes monitors phone states to provide for the note entry activity, uses
identity to determine information to present during call ringing, as well as
call pick up or hang up. This monitoring starts after phone boot up.
STORAGE
MODIFY/DELETE USB STORAGE CONTENTS MODIFY/DELETE SD CARD CONTENTS
The Notes database resides on the storage device. The pictures and the sound
files are also stored in there (in directory \TalkNotes), as well as exported
notes and call log record. The activities are limited to database, export,
create and delete multimedia files attached to notes, in single directory.
SYSTEM TOOLS
MOUNT AND UNMOUNT FILESYSTEMS
These permissions are indirectly needed to interact with the storage device.
NETWORK COMMUNICATION
INTERNET ACCESS
This permission was added in 1.7.0 to accommodate FaceBook and Twitter
Integration; both need direct internet connection for login and postings.
