If you are hiking Bruce Trail, then Hike Bruce Trail (HBT) is the right mobile guide for you.
The free version has almost the same set of features as the full version, except that it requires internet access in order to display the background map just as all other mobile map tools do.
The full version of HBT includes an option to initialize offline maps right onto the SD Card of your Android phone. The dedicated “Offline Mode” in the full version assures there is no data plan consumption and roaming charges while you are hiking.
HBT includes visualized routes on map for the whole 9 segments of the famous Bruce Trail, together with points of interest, kilometer markers and parking spaces along the trail.
HBT is also a mobile tracking tool that allows you to track, save on SD Card, and email out hiking data in a standard .kml format. You can load this .kml file into Google Earth for further enjoyment.
The trail route and your hiking path are both displayed on map, so you will never get lost again while hiking Bruce Trail even in the winter when the snow may covers some of the white blazes.
The colors for trail routes and hiking path are both customizable.
