* Know where your kids are without texting them every five minutes.
* Get an idea of how much longer your significant other will be out running errands.
* Etc.
To protect your privacy, 2-stage authorization is required before anyone else can locate your phone:
* First, they must know your email address and get an authorization code from you. The code expires in 10 minutes, so it can't be reused if someone else discovers it later.
* Second, after they have requested authorization, they still cannot locate you until you approve their request on your phone.
You can revoke authorization at any time.
Update a device's location up to once every 30 seconds. (Continuous updates are not supported to minimize battery and mobile data usage.) Older location pins become more transparent so that you can see a person's route, and know where they are now.
