If you are experiencing delays on the delivery of messages or notifications when your phone has been inactive for a while, PushHeartBeat can help you.

Many applications, like GMail or WhatsApp, rely on Google’s push service (GCM) to get their notifications.

This service uses a periodic heartbeat, a small data packet (roughly 300 bytes) to keep the connection alive, but sometimes, the default period (28 minutes) of the heartbeat is not enough, and the data channel is closed, and some notifications are lost or delayed.

PushHearBeat allows you to configure the period of the heartbeat, keeping the connection alive, and improving the reception of notifications.

This app may also help you to keep your wifi connection alive when the phone is locked. In the configuration form, reduce your wifi heartbeat period until the connection is stable.

After the app installation is necessary to execute it once, to get the service started. Then, the service will start up automatically on boot.

PushHeartBeat is provided 'As Is' without any express or implied warranty of any kind, including but not limited to any warranties of merchantability, noninfringement, or fitness of a particular purpose.

In no event we shall be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, lost profits, business interruption, or lost information) rising out of your use of or inability to use PushHeartBeat.

Please, remember that reducing the heartbeat period may increase your mobile data usage.
